More Information
BLAME SALLY is a San Francisco folk-rock quartet with an attitude, combining acoustic textures with Americana harmonies and an independent spirit. They've shared stages with like-minded artists like Los Lobos, Ani DiFranco, Richard Thompson, Roseanne Cash, Joan Beaz and Greg Brown. In 2007, “Severland,” the Sally's third album charted number one on XM Satellite Radio's Starbuck's XM Café, and Neil Young featured their protest song “If You Tell a Lie” on his Living with War site. ( http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/index.html ) In 2009, they sold out the 1000 seat Palace of Fine Arts for the release of "Night of 1000 Stars" produced by Grammy nominated, Lee Townsend. Blame Sally is Pam Delgado, Renee Harcourt, Jeri Jones and Monica Pasqual, four lifelong musicians, born songwriters, banded together in spite of individually successful and fulfilling non-music careers which in the Fall of 2008, they left behind completely. Ultimately, they just couldn't stay away from the music, which draws on years of life experience, and they couldn't deny their growing audiences who return night after night to hear songs about motherhood, war, country and cancer, songs about people and life and what it means to be human.
The band will be celebrating their fourth studio album release, "Speeding Ticket and a Valentine" April 29 and 30 at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. |
